Chocolate Nutella Strawberry Cake Indulgence

Who can resist these two words “Nutella” & “Strawberry”, what if they fall in the same sentence? I am in love and craving this sensational cake creation. It is totally dreamy and something such a great indulgence for a sweet tooth afternoon. To make this sinful act you need:

– 2 Sticks Of  Butter

– 4 Tbsp Heaped Cocoa Powder

– 1 Cup Boiling Water

– 2 Cups Flour

– 2 Cups Sugar

– 1/4 Tsp Salt

– 1/2 Cup Yogurt

– 2 Whole Eggs

– 1 Tsp Baking Soda

– Tsp Vanilla

For the stuffing and top you need:

– 1 Cup Nutella

– 2 Cups Of Strawberries Sliced

– 1/4 Cup Sugar

– 1 Tsp Vanilla

– Whipped Cream

– 1 Cup Fresh Cream

Preheat your oven at 350 degrees and line up two round baking pans. Grab your saucepan, melt the butter add the cocoa and stir it until smoothly combined.  Pour in the boiling water and let the mixture bubble up for a few seconds, then turn it off and set it aside.

In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, baking soda, eggs, and vanilla. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, and salt. Stir in the hot chocolate mixture, stirring gently until it’s halfway combined and less hot. Pour in the yogurt mixture and continue stirring gently until the batter is all combined.

Pour the cake batter into the pans and bake them for 17-20 minute, until they are just set. Remove them from the pans and set them aside to cool completely.

To prepare your stuffing and topping, start with the strawberries by stirring them with the sugar and the vanilla. Let them marinate for 15 minutes, then drain off the excess juice. Whip your cream (I do not use extra sugar on it as I like it less sweet if you need more sugar add 1/2 cup powdered sugar).

To assemble, turn one layer upside down on a serving platter. Spread half the Nutella all over the surface. Spread on half the whipped cream and top with half the strawberries Place the other layer upside down on top and repeat with the rest of the Nutella, whipped cream, and strawberries. Keep it in the fridge till you serve it.

PS: It is best to assemble before serving

Loving Wishes To All,

Reminder: these photos are not mine, I pick the closest to the recipe outcome till I manage to take photos of mine.
